Breakthrough order for VIMAB Group AB's (publ) large-scale battery solution

Nasdaq First North-listed VIMAB Group's subsidiary Vimab BESS has won a breakthrough order for its large-scale battery solution, which ensures a stable electricity supply. Vimab BESS has signed an agreement to supply a battery solution to Glase Energy with an order value of SEK 34 million, which is Vimab BESS' second order in a short time.

A large-scale battery solution guarantees that the customer can purchase energy at the right time of day, cut power peaks, create a stable energy supply and guarantee against power cuts and thus downtime in the customer's own production.

"This is an important breakthrough order for our new venture to sell large-scale battery solutions, something we have recently realised that there is a great deal of interest in. Not least because the transition to renewable energy has now really taken off and thus increases the demands for powerful, stable and safe energy storage", says Peter Fredell, CEO of Vimab Group, and continues:

"By having a nationwide service organisation, Vimab Group will be able to ensure a satisfactory service throughout Sweden, which is crucial for a reliable environment for large-scale energy storage via batteries."

In simple terms, the large-scale lithium-ion batteries are placed in a container, which also contains climate control, insulation and extinguishing systems.

"For us at Glase Energy, it is crucial that we not only get a large capacity battery solution, but also a well-established service organisation", says Staffan Torstensson at Glase Energy.

The system ordered by Glase Energy consists of ten turnkey containers with large storage capacity.

Recently, Vimab Bess also signed an order worth SEK 6 million for a battery solution. This means that the company has received orders for battery storage worth SEK 40 million in recent months.
