Vimab BESS has taken a major step forward on the international stage. Through a letter of intent with a state-owned enterprise in a continental European country, the company has secured a deal worth SEK 825 million—the largest in its history. The agreement covers the delivery of 110 battery containers to support solar power facilities, marking a significant milestone in the global energy transition.
The battery containers will be produced at our facility in Staffanstorp, with deliveries beginning in the third quarter of 2025 and continuing into 2026. In addition to the initial delivery, the deal includes ongoing service and operational support, creating long-term revenue streams for Vimab Group.
A Strategic Commitment to the Future of Energy
"We’ve chosen to focus on manufacturing complete battery systems rather than battery cells. With growing global demand for energy storage, there is a strong need for robust systems that can strengthen the grid and complement solar and wind power. This deal confirms our position in the market and paves the way for further international partnerships," says Peter Fredell, CEO of Vimab Group.
Negotiations are ongoing for additional projects beyond Sweden’s borders, where Vimab BESS offers world-class Swedish technology combined with an organization capable of delivering both service and operations.
