Vimab Group AB (publ) divests wholly owned subsidiary Vimab AB for a purchase price of SEK 140 million

08 July 2025

Nasdaq First North-listed Vimab Group AB (publ) ("Vimab" or the "Company") has signed an agreement for the sale of its wholly owned subsidiary Vimab AB to Grimaldi Industri AB. The purchase price amounts to SEK 140 million on a cash and debt-free basis. The final purchase price differs from the one communicated on February 14, 2025.

In the fourth quarter of 2024, Vimab Group’s Board of Directors made the decision to focus the Company’s operations on large-scale solutions for renewable energy storage and metal processing. This strategic direction was announced via a press release on October 18, 2024. As a result of this change in strategic focus, the process to divest Vimab AB— a subsidiary specializing in industrial valve services— was initiated. The transaction is expected to close within one month, subject to necessary regulatory approvals.

“This transaction strengthens our balance sheet. The proceeds enhance our financial capacity to meet the growing demand, both in Sweden and internationally, for our large-scale battery energy storage systems,” says Peter Fredell, CEO and Group President, and continues:
“Through this sale, we also free up resources to complete our new production facility planned in Staffanstorp, Skåne. A facility that will meet the highest international standards.”
